    Mr. Mahendra Nahata is a Commerce Graduate from Calcutta University with more than 25 years of business experience. Mr. Nahata is the Chairman of HFCL Group as well as the Chairman of Infotel.

    He provides the Group with strategic guidance apart from being a mentor to the top Management. Mr. Nahata is the visionary behind the HFCL Group's R&D, technology partnership, business development and marketing initiatives. He has played a pivotal role in the development of a variety of indigenous telecom products and

    was instrumental in forging alliances in R&D and technology. Mr. Nahata was conferred with Telecom Man of the Millennium Award in the year 2001 for his contributions to the telecom sector.

    Mr. Nahata held number of important positions in the past. He was Member of Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, Member of Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad, Member of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, Government of India, President of Telecom Equipment Association of India (TEMA), Chairman of Telecom Committee of PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Co-Chairman of Telecom Committee of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry and Vice President of Himachal Pradesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
